Glass decal is one of the specialties at Sinoglass. Every year, Sinoglass will select a handful of decal artworks from a variety of drawings provided by designers from Europe and North America. These artworks are mostly designed for textile or fabric making which will eventually be turn into home and kitchen accessories such as table cloth, place mat, apron, mitt and potholder. In this issue of newsletter, we will share some of the colourful decals from our collection.    Olive Du Midi on Triangle Series Nothing fit into the kitchen more closely that the olive plant theme. One of the healthiest foods available to consume. Greece has by far the heaviest per capita consumption of olive oil worldwide, over 26 liters per year; Spain and Italy, around 14 L; Tunisia, Portugal and Syria, around 8 L. Northern Europe and North America around 0.7 L. So, it nice to have some decals of olive plant on the glassware since we love it so much.        Shelly on Ergo Series The Shelly decal is our European pick for the contemporary kitchen. This design employs the simple geometric shape of circles and squares in various colour arrangements to makes an interesting decoration for the glassware. The artist told us these are the colours that are in trend now. Also available in oval series.      Tuscany on Round Series   Tuscany (Italian: Toscana) is one of the 20 Regions of Italy with Florence being its capital. Tuscany is known for its landscapes and its artistic legacy. Six Tuscan localities have been made UNESCO protected sites: the historical center of Florence and the square of the Cathedral of Pisa, just to name a few. And olive oil, which is so common and loved in Italy.      Salsa Fiesta on Cubi Series What is Salsa? Salsa can be any of various sauces of Italian or Spanish or Latin American origin, it comes from the Italian and Spanish word for sauce. A group of musical styles having their roots in the Caribbean and Latin America is also called Salsa. Then there is the dance forms corresponding to salsa music that we all know, Salsa dance. Well, what are you waiting for? Let celebrate! It's Salsa Fiesta!    PICABIA on Cubi Series   Francis-Marie Martinez Picabia was a well-known painter and poet born of a French mother and a Spanish-Cuban Father. From 1913 to 1915 Picabia traveled to New York City several times and took active part in the avant-garde movements, introducing modern art to America. These decal artworks are called Picabia after him. We hope you'll enjoy the style and vibrant colour of these decals.
